Outdoor Events
Date:  09:30

Sunday 23 July 2017; 9.30am, Cholderton Estate, Cholderton.

A visit to this 1000 hectare organic farm owned by Henry Edmunds, who has for the past 30 years practiced farming in harmony with the environment. At this time of the year we should see a wide variety of farmland birds together with butterflies and some interesting flora. It will also provide a chance for members to see how Henry has managed this working farm whilst at the same time promoting wildlife. Meet in the yard of the farm (Home Farm on the 1;50,000 OS map) at SU233428. The meeting is likely to last into the early afternoon so please bring lunch. The visit is limited to 15 members and those wishing to attend should contact Granville Pictor to register their interest after 1 April 2017 ( tel 01722 325408 or e mail This email address is being protected from spambots.
