Severn Beach and the Pilning Wetland.

Outdoor Events
Date: Wednesday, 13 November 2019 09:30

Wednesday 13 November 2019; 9.30am, Severn Beach and the Pilning Wetland.

A leisurely walk alongside the Severn Estuary to Northwick Warth and the Pilning Wetland. A good range of waders and wildfowl can be expected and there is a chance of finding Merlin and Short Eared Owl. If the wind is blowing up the estuary there is also a chance of sea birds.  Northwick Warth can be muddy so wear appropriate footwear. If the weather is fine the meeting will extend into the afternoon so bring lunch.

Details of the meeting place for this trip are on the information sheet issued with the Summer 2019 edition of WOS News.

Leader John Osborne
