A return visit to this area which is always popular and has in the past produced particularly impressive numbers and varieties of waders. Meet at the reserve at ST 369829. Leave the M4 at J23A. Take a left and follow the road to the steelworks. Take the only left before the steelworks and follow the signs to Goldcliff. The reserve entrance has a steep humpbacked bridge and cars with a low ground clearance should park on the road verges. The morning will be spent viewing the saline pools and beach. The afternoon will be spent at the RSPB reserve at Uskmouth
