Blakehill Farm and Lower Moor Nature Reserves

Outdoor Events
Date: Sunday, 27 February 2022 09:30

Sunday 27 February 2022; 9.30am, Blakehill Farm and Lower Moor Nature Reserves.

A visit to two Wiltshire Wildlife Trust reserves in North Wiltshire. At Blakehill Farm there is the possibility of Merlin, while Snipe and possibly Jack Snipe should be seen. Nearby, Lower Moor is situated at the western end of the Cotswold Water Park and holds a variety of wildfowl plus Kingfishers. Wellington boots advisable at Lower Moor. Enter Blakehill Farm Nature reserve off the B4040 at the main entrance, SU074924, drive down the gravel track to the tarmac road, and turn right to the car park near the information board. The meeting may last into early afternoon so lunch should be brought. Whilst we will meet at Blakehill Farm, it may well be that the itinerary on the day changes depending on ‘what’s about’.

The leader will be Robin Griffiths, details of his mobile number and the exact location for meeting is on the programme information sheet sent out with the Summer edition of WOS News and will also be given on the forthcoming events email which is sent at the beginning of the month in which the event is held.

Information relating to WOS field meetings in general is given on the Programme.
