West Woods near Marlborough

Sunday 26 March 2023; 9.30am, West Woods near Marlborough.

A new venue for WOS; a visit to this large wood managed by Forestry England. At this time of the year we may see some late winter visitors which could include Brambling and perhaps the first Chiffchaff of the year for many. Raven and Red Kite are also regular. Whilst the woods are rightly famed for their Bluebells, our visit in late March should hopefully correspond with the flowering of many thousands of wild Daffodils. The walk is 3-4 miles long and includes some gentle inclines.
