Winn Green, Tollard Royal

Sunday 2 April 2023; 9.30am, Winn Green, Nr Tollard Royal.

An early spring visit to this very attractive area of rolling downland where we should see a wide variety of farmland and raptors including Red Kite. This is a walk of a little over 5 miles and does involve some steeper slopes. The meeting is likely to last until early afternoon so lunch should be brought. Leader Granville Pictor 

Members will have received the mobile number of the leader and details of the meeting place in the Field Trips leaflet which went out with the Winter edition of WOS News. These details will also be given in the monthly email which is sent to those members who have signed up to receive emails at the beginning of the month in which the trip will be held.

The attention of members is drawn to the fact that WOS accepts no liability for damages or personal injury occurring during its activities. Please note that dogs should not be brought to meetings.

WOS seeks to encourage car sharing, so members may wish to liaise prior to meetings to try and reduce car usage. 

Field trips and indoor meetings are rarely cancelled based on weather forecasts of inclement conditions as they can be wrong. However, in the event of cancellation, a notice will be posted on the website under Newsflash.  Members may also check by telephoning the leader on the number given under the particular event on the Meetings Programme issued with WOS News or in Forthcoming Events email.
