Wilton Water and Wilton and Bedwyn Brails

A circular walk of 4-5 miles encompassing waterways, farmland and ancient woodland.  Firstly, we will visit Wilton Water, a small reservoir that feeds the Kennet & Avon Canal at one of its highest points southeast of Marlborough.  Then continuing east along the Canal before following the farmland footpath to the Brails with beautiful views back towards Savernake Forest and on towards the Vale of Pewsey.  We hope to see water, farmland and woodland birds.  Moderate walking conditions with a couple of medium inclines.  The meeting will last into early afternoon, so lunch should be brought.  Limited parking so car share if possible. There are no toilet facilities on the walk and paths can be muddy.
