Fishlake Meadows, Romsey and Testwood Lakes, Nr Totton, Hampshire

Fishlake Meadows and Testwood Lakes

Two wetland reserves for this WOS Adventure.  We will visit Fishlake Meadows in the morning and Testwood Lakes in the afternoon.  Total of approximately 4 miles fairly level walking. Both should have a good variety of warblers and wetland birds, plus Cuckoo.  There is a chance of Hobby and/or Osprey at Fishlake.  Nesting Sand Martins at Testwood should be present and there is a possibility of Little Ringed Plover.

All day meeting so please bring lunch.  As well as walking boots/shoes, it is advisable to bring wellies, as in places, Fishlake can be flooded, even in May!
