Stonechat - Middle Woodford - Bob Blamey
At this quiet time of the year, a walk in this 1700 acre SSSI where we hope to enjoy flowers and butterflies as well as birds. As well as a wide variety of woodland birds, there is a wide selection of flora present and butterflies could, if the weather is fine, include White Admiral, Silver-washed Fritillary and possibly Purple Emperor. The meeting is likely to last until early afternoon so some lunch should be brought.
Details of the meeting place and the mobile number of the leader will be in the monthly email which is posted either at the end of month preceding the walk or at the beginning of the month in which the walk is to take place and is also on the Programme which has been sent with WOS News.
