Grovely Woods, Great Wishford

This is a new walk and by kind permission of the Wilton Estate we have been granted access.  We should see a variety of woodland birds initially heading SE along a broad avenue of mature trees before descending onto farmland where open vistas might provide sightings of raptors.  In the valley bottom we follow the River Wylye for a few kilometres and should encounter various water fowl, perhaps Kingfisher, and Egrets in the meadows.  We return along a level track across farmland and a steady incline through the woods.  The total distance is just over 5 miles.  We will stop for lunch along the route.
