Birds of Wiltshire

The publication of Birds of Wiltshire in 2007, a complete avifauna and a definitive work on Wiltshire’s birds, is an outstanding achievement for the Wiltshire Ornithological Society. It was the culmination of work during the summers of 1995 - 2000 when every tetrad in Wiltshire was surveyed twice for two hours and the winters 1998/1999 and 1999/2000 when two hour surveys were made of 443 tetrads. This publication received second prize in the BTO / British Birds Best Bird Book of the Year Award in 2008.
